There is one problem that I’ve noticed as we close out another year. It’s very easy to get sidetracked and subscribe to a lot of email lists telling you all of the products, programs, and tools you need to make more money. I’ve spent the last couple days unsubscribing from many email lists that I really don’t pay much attention to. I’ve also given a little bit of thought to what you really need to make money with affiliate programs. I’m going to assume that as an affiliate marketer you will find the best products and programs to promote. If you’re unsure how to do that you need to hang out in discussion forums or join a membership site such as the Affiliate Power Group. So what are the main tools the top affiliate marketers use. 1. Your own website. You very rarely see a top affiliate marketer promoting their affiliate webpage. As the Internet continues to grow with the best affiliate marketers are the ones that build very large content sites. They fill those up with helpful information relating to the theme of the affiliate products they are promoting. They then monetize these sites with various affiliate products. Some of the most common include Google Adsense, cost per action programs, Amazon.com products, and ClickBank digital information products. These are all affiliate programs and you can join and make money selling. The key though is to build your own website and add helpful content for the benefit of the user and search engines. 2. Incentives to join your list. This does not have to be anything real fancy, but it should be something that’s unique and would entice your website visitor to join your email list. The top affiliate marketers build an email list and then follow up with their subscribers. It’s much easier to sell something to somebody that is familiar with you and is trusting you. A very large responsive email list can be worth a lot of money to you in the future. It all starts with offering good incentives to people to join your list. 3. SEO. Search engine optimization targeting a large keyword list is something the top affiliate marketers know about. For long-term success you want to rank as many of your webpages as you can on page one of Google and other search engines. You do this by implementing search engine optimization into all of the Internet marketing you do. Start building a large keyword list of several hundred or even thousands of words. Then began to use those in various Internet marketing strategies including article marketing, blogging, and even paid advertising. This is a good start to making money with affiliate marketing. These are three of the main tools the top affiliate marketers used to increase their own income every day.
